Mr. Toshiyuki Iwado's Lecture

Yesterday, I had the honor of listening to Mr. Iwado's lecture about Japan, with a focus on Japan-American relations. First, Mr. Iwado spoke of Japan's culture, both traditional and modern. Because I went to Japan this past summer, I recognized a few of the prominent locations he mentioned. Next, Mr. Iwado talked about Japan's amicable relationship with the United States and their interdependence. He mentioned the imminent threats Japan faces, including China's expansion. However, he emphasized Japan's desire to cooperate with China. On the other hand, North Korea is a very dangerous and violent neighbor of Japan. I also learned about the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which I was not previously aware of. This trade agreement outlined the rules of global trade, in hopes to help the global economy. The United States, Japan, and ten other countries are members of the trade deal.
Japan is a very stable economy, with a high average income, flourishing tourism, and low levels of crime. As an American, I realized how thankful I should be for Japan and the United States's partnership.

秋休み

秋休みはとても楽しかったです。先週の金曜日に休んだから、金曜日の前にたくさんしゅくだいをしました。そして、ボストンに行く時、友達とバースに乗りました。ボストンに行った時、両親と電話にかけて、ビジネスのふくをあつまりました。土曜日にビジネスコンベンションに行きました。金曜日の晩に寝すぎましたから、ちょっとおそく行きました。でも、時間どおりにつけました（arrived on time)。コンベンションにたくさん人がいるんだから、頭がいい人に会いました。たくさんおもしろいえんぜつ（speeches)を聞きました。とてもよかったです。

日曜日にノースイースタンの友達に会って、ボストン大学の友達と昼ごはんを食べました。ボストンでさんぽをしました。ボストンは明るくて、にぎやかので、ボストンとサウスベンドはとてもちがいんです。ボストンでしんごうむしして(jaywalking)もいいですから、ちょっとあぶないです。でも、ボストンが大好きです！

月曜日に午前四時に空こうに行くために、早い起きました。午後五時に、ボイジにつきて、友達に会いました。ボイジはとてもしずかですが、おもしろいです。友達とクラスに行きましたが、ちょっとつまらなかったです。でも、ボイジの天気はとてもよくて、きれいです。秋休みは楽しかったですが、ノートルダム大学に帰りたいです！

しょうらいのため

今、大学の二年生です。卒業した後で、ほう学部（law school）に行きたいと思っています。でも、ストレスがいっぱいので、べんごしになりたくありませんが、こうむいんになりたいと思っています。
楽しいしごとをしたと思っています。
いい仕事を見つけるのはとても大変で、きょうそうりょく(competitive)です。アメリカで仕事をさがすとき、いいレスメを書いたり、ブレザーを買ったりしたほうがいいです。
